More topiaries and flower displays have been installed as Disney continues to prepare for the upcoming 2025 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival — including one set that has not been seen in eight years.
More Topiaries Installed for 2025 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival
Phineas and Ferb are among some of the recent topiaries that have been installed for the 2025 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. The pair can be found behind Spaceship Earth, near the pathway leading to the Imagination! pavilion.
This is the first time since 2017 that the pair have appeared as topiaries for the festival. It’s likely their appearance is to promote the animated show’s revival on Disney+ that’s set to return sometime this year.
Phineas can be seen standing with one hand on his hip while his other hand has his index finger pointed up. He wears his typical striped shirt, shorts, and sneakers. His bright red hair is his most noticeable feature.
Next to Phineas is Ferb, who is dressed in his typical collared shirt, high-waisted pants, and sneakers. His bright green hair is also his most stand-out feature.
The Groot topiary, which made its debut last year, has also returned. Groot is located in a flowerbed filled with space-like plants near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
This year, Groot is located in a new spot; the Prehistoric Garden has taken over his location from last year.
Groot is in his young form and holds a large cassette tape above him that reads “Green-House Mix Vol. 1.” Pieces of the tape hang from the cassette that’s covered in green vines. He is not playing music just yet, though.
We also found the Miguel and Dante topiaries, characters from the Pixar film “Coco,” at the entrance to World Showcase near the Mexico pavilion. These topiaries also debuted last year.
Miguel is depicted in the mariachi outfit that he wears at the end of the film, which includes a sombrero and yellow bowtie. In his hands, he holds his grandfather’s white guitar.
Dante is featured in his colorful alebrije form atop a topiary of bright flowers that are inspired by the bridge to the Land of the Dead in “Coco.”
Dante became Disney’s first-ever projection-mapped topiary in 2024; the projector has not yet been installed for this year’s festival, though.
In addition to the topiaries that were recently installed, a Mickey flowerbed has also been set up in World Showcase. The floral design is located by the bridge near the International Gateway, leading into the France pavilion. It features a large Mickey with a frame of pink and white flowers surrounding it.
This year will also see the debut of brand-new “Moana” topiaries, featuring the voyager herself alongside Maui, Heihei, and Pua.
The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival 2025 begins on March 5 and runs through June 2, 2025. This year’s event will see the first-ever resort hotel-themed food booths and playground, a horticulture gallery inside CommuniCore Hall, an “Inside Out 2” garden, and more new offerings. Take a look at some of this year’s merchandise, as well as the lineup for the Garden Rocks Concert Series.
