Half of the TriceraTop Spin queue was demolished overnight at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

On Thursday, crews had just started to tear down the themed paneling of the queue. Now, that half of the shade structure is gone. This includes the old entrance to the ride.

A person in colorful clothing looks through a small opening in a green construction wall. Behind the wall is a partly visible carnival ride with a striped, decorative canopy. Trees are in the background.

We would guess what remains of the queue will be demolished within a few days, if not tonight. The paneling of the structure featured large colorful tops inspired by the shape of the ride. The name and theming were a play on the Triceratops genus of dinosaurs.

TriceraTop Spin remains standing but much of the ride’s paneling has been removed. From what little we can see over the construction walls, it looks like most, if not all, of the Triceratops ride vehicles were also removed.

For reference, below is what the area looked like yesterday.

And below is a photo of the TriceraTop Spin entrance from before Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama closed.

TriceraTop Spin

TriceraTop Spin is one of the last standing elements of Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama, which closed permanently in January. The Fossil Fun Games were all demolished this week. The buildings of the Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures gift shop will be reused in the new Tropical Americas land.

A large green dinosaur with a long neck stands behind a green fence, showcasing "Donald's Dino-Bash!" and "Dino-Rama!" logos. The vibrant scene, reminiscent of DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney's Animal Kingdom, is set against trees and a cloudy sky backdrop.

The iconic Cementosaurus also remains standing at the opposite end of Dino-Rama.

The rest of DinoLand U.S.A., including DINOSAUR, is expected to close in about a year. DINOSAUR will be reimagined into an Indiana Jones ride. The new Tropical Americas land will also include an “Encanto” ride and a carousel in the fictional village of Pueblo Esperanza. The new land will open in 2027.
