The entrance to Red’s Community Garden in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure is fully covered in scrim, just a week after its opening.

Red’s Community Garden

A large structure covered with a brown tarp stands outdoors surrounded by trees. Two planters with decorative plants are in front, and a wooden fence is visible on the right.

The seating area, themed after Red the fire truck from the film “Cars,” recently opened and is located next to the Cozy Cone Motel.

To access the seating area, guests enter through a red and white pergola featuring the sign “Red’s Community Garden.” String lights also hang on the inside of the pergola.

During a recent visit to Cars Land last week, we noticed the pergola was completely covered in tan scrim.

Shown above is a comparison of the newly installed red and white pergola on the left, and the pergola now covered in scrim on the right.

A large, tan tent structure stands outdoors, surrounded by trees and flowers in tire planters. People are visible seated at tables with red umbrellas to the left.

The tires and flowers beside the pergola remain in place. The seating area behind the entryway is also still open and accessible to guests to use after ordering from the Cozy Cone Motel.

It’s unclear why the scrim has gone up over the pergola so soon after its installation, but we hope that Red’s tribute will be visible again soon.
