A new rumor at Universal Orlando Resort suggests the discontinuation of the single rider line at Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is preparation for the attraction to begin accepting Universal Express Passes.
Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure Express Pass
Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is a rollercoaster attraction located in the Hogsmeade section of Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Despite opening back in 2019, the attraction has always garnered plenty of attention and is known for having some of the longest wait times in the park. As a result, the attraction is not available for guests using a Universal Express Pass.
Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is one of the only major attractions at Universal’s Islands of Adventure that does not currently offer an Express Pass line. Most other large-scale attractions in the park, including Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey as well as the more recent Jurassic World VelociCoaster, have an Express Pass option. Universal Express Pass is an add-on feature to a standard park ticket that allows guests to skip the standard line and experience attractions with a shorter wait time.
In the past, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure has experimented with using both a regular standby line and a single rider line. The single rider line allowed guests who didn’t mind being seated by themselves or with another party to experience much shorter wait times.
In a recent update, however, Universal has announced the single rider line for the rollercoaster is no longer being offered. At this time, the only option for guests wanting to ride the rollercoaster is to stand in the regular line. Universal’s website only says “Single Rider is based on availability at select attractions and subject to change without notice.”
A rumor suggests Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is preparing to be added to Universal Express Pass. The attraction has actually been prepared to offer an Express Pass line since July of 2024, but no announcement was ever made.
Should the attraction begin offering Express Pass, the side of the queue that was used for the single rider line will become the line for the Express Pass entrance. As a result, it would be difficult for the attraction to continue offering a single rider line at the same time.
