Morocco Spice Garden and Butterfly Tent Added for 2025 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival

A new flowerbed and garden have appeared in EPCOT ahead of the upcoming 2025 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, including the Spice Garden in the Morocco Pavilion and updates to the Phineas and Ferb topiaries.

Butterfly Landing

People stroll through a paved area with green construction barriers and trees, under a partly cloudy sky, as glimpses of vibrant flowerbeds nod to the magic of the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival.

First, we took a quick look at the setup for the Butterfly Landing tent. The construction in this area looks to be completed, as no more materials or construction vehicles are present.

A rectangular structure covered with tarps is surrounded by green fencing, nestled on grass near a shimmering body of water. Trees and a metallic structure rise in the background, reminiscent of EPCOT Festival charm, while hints of nearby flowerbeds add a splash of color.

Green scrims still cover the entire area. While construction looks complete, the scrims help keep the reveal of Butterfly Landing a surprise for the festival and keep guests from entering the area before it is open.

A vibrant garden featuring various plants and a netted area in the background evokes the charm of a Morocco Spice Garden, while a structure resembling a bird feeder adds character.

The flowers and houses for the butterflies inside the mesh tent appear to be complete as well. The birdhouse-style boxes are used to house small caterpillars as they transform inside their chrysalises to become butterflies. We did not see any butterflies flying inside the tent when we passed, but they may be added soon.

CommuniCore Plaza Flowerbed

A monorail track glides over a reflective body of water, surrounded by vibrant flowerbeds inspired by the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival, with trees in the background under a clear blue sky.

Back at the beginning of February, we saw this stretch of grass near CommuniCore Plaza laid out for a new floral display. The flowers have now all bloomed in bright shades of yellow, purple, and orange.

A monorail track glides over a reflective pond, with vibrant flowerbeds spelling out "EPCOT" against a landscaped garden backdrop. Visitors stroll nearby under a clear blue sky, capturing the essence of the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival.

The flowers are laid out to create the shape of butterflies and larger flowers when viewed from the bridge across the water.

When viewed up close, the rows where the individual flowers were planted are still visible. Several of the orange and pink flowers are just barely starting to bloom, so this area will become even more colorful by the time the festival begins officially.

Phineas and Ferb Topiary Garden Update

Topiary figures surrounded by vibrant new flowerbeds and trees, with people strolling in the background under a cloudy sky.

Over in World Celebration, a few adjustments have been made to the Phineas and Ferb topiaries since we photographed them last week.

In the vibrant ambiance of the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival, three character-shaped topiaries emerge amidst new flowerbeds, surrounded by large pink flower sculptures and lush greenery, creating a captivating garden setting.

Three pink flower topiaries have been added to the garden behind the brothers. The flowers are made of plastic pink petals and have balls of green shrubbery in the center. The pink color matches the smaller pink flowers planted around the characters.

Morocco Spice Garden

In the courtyard, a vibrant garden display features various plants and flowers reminiscent of the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival. Among them, decorative spherical ornaments adorn the lush greenery. In the background, a few visitors linger by a rustic building near new flowerbeds.

Finally, another new garden has been installed in World Showcase. This Spice Garden is located to the right side of the Morocco Pavilion, not far from the restrooms.

The garden, reminiscent of the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival, boasts various flowers and shrubs surrounded by a low fence. Tall decorative pots and two lampposts accentuate the scene, while a stone bench sits in the foreground, inviting visitors to admire the vibrant new flowerbeds.

The garden features flowers and plants traditionally used as spices, many of which appear in the food at the nearby Morocco Pavilion restaurants. The entire space inside the iron railing has now been completely finished.

Some of the other topiaries that have already been installed in EPCOT include Donald Duck and his nephews, Elsa sporting a new cape, and Peter Pan battling Captain Hook. Goofy has also been installed in World Celebration, surrounded by some new dandelions.

The 2025 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival will run from March 5 to June 2. This year marks the 30th anniversary since the original Flower & Garden Festival in EPCOT, so several pieces of the already-revealed merchandise incorporate the number 30 into their design.
