Another pathway in Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is blocked off for painting.

Pandora Bioluminescent Pavement Painting

There are green barriers in front of the two entrances to this short path. It includes the Wilderness Explorer location and runs to the giant flaska reclinata plant.

A nature trail with a winding path surrounded by lush greenery, trees, and scattered rocks under dappled sunlight.

Crews have been closing pathways to repaint them since late January. A large area in the center of the land was closed off earlier this month.

The pavement is designed to look natural, like tamped down dirt full of moss and plants. Like many Pandoran plants, the pathways are “bioluminiscent,” so glow at night. The bioluminiscent paint is frequently refreshed.

Guests can still interact with the flaska reclinata a.k.a. the baja tickler or txumtsä’wll. According to the “Avatar” lore, the plant absorbs toxic gases from the Pandora atmosphere, liquidizes them, and “spits” them back out. Guests who touch the plant in Pandora – The World of Avatar may see it spit water.
