The iconic tower of Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney California Adventure is completely surrounded by scrim and scaffolding after refurbishment work began on the facade last month.
Carthay Circle Restaurant Refurbishment
Construction walls are around the first floor of Carthay Circle Restaurant, which remains open during construction. Rising behind the walls is scaffolding wrapped in beige scrim.
The scrim and scaffolding completely hides the tower from view.
There are gaps in the walls and scrim around the restaurant’s main entrance and marquee.
Scaffolding and scrim continue down the right side of the building.
The walls, scrim, and scaffolding are likely for a standard refurbishment of the façade, which might include repainting and roof replacement if necessary.
There are not currently walls or scaffolding on the other side of the building.
