More of the new DVC cabins are being constructed at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and a temporary bus station has been set up.

Disney first announced in 2023 that the cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort would be replaced with new ones opening in 2024. While at the resort, we observed more of the new cabins being constructed.

A partially constructed yellow building with large windows is seen behind a green fence, surrounded by trees and construction materials.

A chain link fence with green scrim surrounds the cabins as they’re being built. Behind the fence, two ladders were leaned up against the cabin.

Other construction materials were also behind the fence and framework was on the ground in front of the cabin.

Black tape surrounded the window on the left.

Green barriers block a path leading to a fenced area with cones and construction equipment under large trees.

Green barricades and orange cones blocked off another area where vehicles and a golf cart were parked.

A second cabin is being constructed behind the first one. A gray tarp and construction equipment is on the ground beside it.

Construction workers in yellow vests are seen working behind a green mesh fence, near parked vehicles and trees.

A rustic wooden bus shelter labeled "Settlement Bus Depot," with a "Bus Stop" sign nearby, surrounded by trees and a paved road.

A bus stop sign directing guests has been set up at the Settlement Depot. Previously, this area was blocked off to guests with a “Cast Member Only” sign.

A sidewalk curves alongside a parking lot with green barriers and concrete dividers. A printed forest mural covers a nearby fence. The sky is partly cloudy.

Continuing down the path marked out by the sign leads to a temporary bus stop area in a Cast Member parking lot. Themed scrim of trees and greenery has been installed on the right above concrete barricades.

The temporary bus stop consists of a few benches and a white tent structure.

A group of people gather outside modern cabins in a wooded area. Some are sitting, standing, or riding bicycles. The cabins have large windows and elevated wooden decks.

The new cabins are inspired by the resort’s idyllic setting and also pay homage to the resort’s unique culture and heritage. The cabins are stand-alone and can sleep up to six adults. The features include a bedroom, bathroom, living room, full kitchen, and private patio.
