In a forest with a dreamy atmosphere, a young woman channels the spirit of Snow White as she kneels in her fairytale costume, gently holding a small blue bird. It's as if she's stepped straight out of Disney's classic tale and onto the set of its London premiere.

Instead of a typical London premiere, Disney will now launch “Snow White” at a castle in Spain, according to The Standard.

Disney's live-action "Snow White" poster showcases the enchanting Snow White holding an apple, the menacing Evil Queen looming above, and a serene forest scene filled with animals. Don't miss this magical adaptation hitting theaters on March 21.

Disney’s newest live-action film, “Snow White,” is set to release on March 21, 2025. The remake has not been a stranger to controversy for various reasons among not including “the seven dwarfs” in its title, creating a new backstory for Snow White’s name, and the casting of Rachel Zegler.

Disney has now gone against the grain of its norm by not hosting a “celebratory red carpet premiere in London.” Instead, they will launch the film in a “fairytale” venue at a castle in Spain. Per The Standard, “a UK premiere was never on the cards and the plan had always been to do a more elaborate showing” at such a place. Disney is also opting for “a “handful” of strongly managed press events” to avoid more backlash and anti-woke comments from media and viewers.

Some of that fear comes from comments from the titular character.

In a 2022 interview, she described the original Snow White story as “dated,” calling Prince Charming “a guy who literally stalks [Snow White]” and deeming the tale “weird.”
Her comments, along with her casting as Snow White, have drawn criticism. Zegler is of Colombian and Polish descent, while the character is German, leading some to question Disney’s commitment to cultural accuracy.
