Universal Orlando Resort has shared a first look at the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience coming to Epic Universe.
Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience
At the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience, Dr. Pretorius’ old lab has been converted into a parlor. The experience located in Dark Universe allows guests to “become fashionably monstrous” while skilled artists transform them into monsters with makeup.
One guest above is having their face painted partially green with stitches and green eye shadow as well.
Makeup artists are transforming another guest into Dracula with white and grey makeup and painted-on fangs.
A younger guest has chosen to be transformed into the Wolf Man. Brown makeup accents their face along with an added wolf nose and fangs. Their furry hooded jacket with claw marks on the side completes the look.
This guest has been transformed into the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Their face makeup is bright green with detailing resembling gills. They also wear a shirt and gloves to add to their look.
Makeup artists are turning these guests into Frankenstein’s monster and the Bride of Frankenstein. His face is decorated with green makeup and a forehead scar while hers is white and grey with a tall black and white wig to match.
The Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience opens on May 22, 2025, at Epic Universe. Guests can choose between a “Transformation Ticket” which provides both face makeup and accessories or the “Experiment Ticket” which is face makeup only.
Monster Makeover Experience Test-Run
A similar Monster Makeover experience was set-up at Universal Studios Florida for a limited time last year as a test for this new experience. The experience, which cost us $125, was worth it as a special occasion or event activity. The end results are absolutely fantastic, and every other guest we saw getting a makeover looked incredible.
