As construction work progresses on the Italy pavilion’s bell tower, another panel of camouflage scrim has been added.

The pavilion’s bell tower is designed as a re-creation of the St. Mark’s Campanile which is located in Venice, Italy.

In our last update, ‘camouflage’ scrim with artwork resembling the tower had been added to two of the walls. A third panel has now been added.

Located behind the bell tower is Tutto Italia Ristorante. This table-service venue serves traditional Italian dishes including chicken, fish, handmade pasta, lasagna, and more.

The wall next to La Gemma Elegante remains covered in tan scrim. At La Gemma Elegante guests can find art, collectibles, gifts, and housewares items.

The tan construction walls are also visible around the base below the scrim.

In front of the bell tower at the entrance to the pavilion are two large columns with statues at the top. The statues represent two symbols of Venice, St. Mark’s Lion and the statue of St. Theodore.

Disney has not announced any updates as to the construction on the bell tower so it’s likely that this is routine maintenance. Construction on the bell tower first began in February.

The Il Bel Cristallo shop and La Gemma Elegante shop remain open during this time. Guests can find a recently released Italy merchandise collection featuring Minnie in La Gemma Elegante.
