The construction saga of adding a covered seating area to Woody’s Lunch Box continues as one structure finally receives some lights.
Roof Progress at Woody’s Lunch Box

The epic saga of building additional covered seating by Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land began back in January of 2022. We have been following the ongoing progress, and it finally appears one of the three roof structures is nearing completion.

Since out last update, the structure closest to the existing seating area has now gotten new lights installed. This is where we previously saw exposed wires hanging from the panels, so the wires were likely waiting to be connected with these new lights.

At this stage, the lights are only basic bulbs hanging from the roof panels using a single thin wire. We expect the lights will either be better installed inside some of the building-toy-style holes or placed in themed light fixtures, but we will have to wait and see.

On the other side of the construction zone, the two other roof structures are not nearly as far along. We expected all three of the shade structures to receive the same blue panels as the first, but none of them have appeared on this third structure yet.

Strangely, it appears like Disney has actually removed one of the metal panels we previously saw installed on this back structure. The image on the left shows this structure in our most recent visit, while the right image was taken during our last update less than two weeks ago. This structure had a flat panel made of green metal similar to the ones we saw installed on the first before it was themed, but this panel is now nowhere to be seen.

The third structure does appear to have more metal cross beams since out last update, so perhaps Disney decided more support was needed before the panels could be installed. Nonetheless, the expanded seating area is still not complete, and guests grabbing a snack in Toy Story Land will have to hunt for some shady spots.
