After its initial reveal yesterday, March 8, the limited edition Mara Jade Skywalker lightsaber set is now available for purchase at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

We found the lightsaber for sale in Tatooine Traders. It will also be available for purchase online from the Disney Store later this morning.
Mara Jade Lightsaber Set – $325
The lightsaber comes packaged in a gray box with sliding doors; one half features the Empire’s emblem, while the other sports the New Jedi Order symbol. The Aurebesh on the right reads, “Legends.”
When a lightsaber blade is attached (sold separately), it will illuminate with a purple glow.

The hilt is a chromed silver with a black ring near the saber’s emitter. An orange ring is at the base of the hilt. The design for Mara Jade’s lightsaber originally came from promotional artwork, which gave the character a unique hilt and purple blade to make her stand out. The saber was later retconned to be canonical as the one she built while being an Emperor’s Hand. Later, she wielded Anakin Skywalker’s blue lightsaber.

Also in the box are a limited edition of the Star Wars Legends comic book, “Star Wars: Mara Jade – By The Emperor’s Hand” issue #1 with a special variant cover, as well as an individually numbered certificate. This lightsaber set is a limited edition of 3,500.

While visiting Tatooine Traders this morning, we saw plenty of boxed-up lightsaber sets in stock, and were told that Walt Disney World got approximately 1,800 of the edition; Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities at Disneyland Resort and Disney Store will split the other 1,700.
This limited edition lightsaber set embodies Mara Jade’s journey from an assassin for Palpatine to a Jedi and Luke Skywalker’s wife. Though no longer part of the “Star Wars” canon, Mara Jade is part of Star Wars Legends, or the stories dubbed non-canonical by Disney after acquiring the franchise. This marks Disney’s first foray into Legacy Lightsabers inspired by Legends characters.
Mara Jade made her first appearance in the 1991 novel “Heir to the Empire” by Timothy Zahn as an assassin attempting to kill Luke Skywalker. She eventually escaped the Empire and fell in love with her target. Rumors have swirled that she could eventually become canon once again with a potential appearance in a live-action “Star Wars” film or television series, following the reintroduction of Thrawn, who also first appeared in Zahn’s novel.
The Mara Jade Skywalker Legacy Lightsaber set will also be released this morning, Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET online at the Disney Store.
