Coinciding with the beginning of Season of the Force at Disneyland Park, the resort has debuted several new merchandise items themed to Darth Vader. We found the new items at The Star Trader and Spaceport in Tomorrowland.
Force N Telling Vader – $29.99

The first new item is a plastic toy dubbed “Force N Telling Vader,” which is a play on the words “fortune telling.”

The toy functions similar to a Magic 8 Ball. A guest asks the toy a question and presses down on Vader’s head. He will then provide one of 40 recorded responses in an answer to the question. The responses range from “Star Wars” movie quotes to pun-filled jokes.

Vader is made of black plastic, and one eyebrow of his helmet is raised in a questioning expression. When the head of the toy is pressed, its eyes will glow red.
Shoulder Bag – $39.99

The next new item is a large black shoulder bag. The bag is worn similar to a crossbody bag, but the size is larger than the average crossbody. The bag is made of black fabric with red trim around the main square compartment. The front has an embroidered pattern saying “Star Wars” repeated across the middle. The front also has three patches: two are squares similar to Darth Vader’s chest buttons, and the third shows a panel of switches below “Darth Vader” text.

The zipper of the bag has a soft charm shaped like Darth Vader’s helmet. The bag has a single adjustable strap running down the back.
Youth Shirt – $26.99

The first new shirt is a youth-sized white tee. The pattern on this shirt is similar to several of the previous Dark Side collection items we found at Disneyland Resort back in February, with sketch-style illustrations of Darth Vader and the Death Star. “Star Wars” is written in bright red across the chest.

The back of the shirt has more of the sketch-style pattern. In addition to Vader’s helmet, other images show Vader having a lightsaber duel and flying in his TIE fighter.
Youth Darth Vader Hoodie – $49.99

This Darth Vader youth hoodie is similar to the cosplay-style hoodies that have been arriving at Walt Disney World. The hoodie is mostly black with details meant to look like the buttons and panels seen on Darth Vader’s chest. The zipper is light grey, and the sleeves have some light grey lines running to the wrists.

The youth version of the hoodie includes a hood themed like Vader’s helmet, complete with shiny material used in place of the eyes.

This hoodie also has a belt with a Velcro strap attached at the waist. The Velcro is hidden as another button panel. The strap runs across the front of the hoodie and attaches over the zipper.
Adult Darth Vader Hoodie – $69.99

The adult version of the Darth Vader hoodie is much simpler than the youth version. The fabric is still mostly black, but the front only has one main square of buttons above the usual hand pockets. This hoodie has a regular zipper with a draw-string hood, but the hood does not have the Vader helmet design like the youth version.
Darth Vader Mug – $24.99

Fans of Darth Vader can also purchase this black Vader mug. The mug is shaped like Vader’s black helmet, complete with the silver highlights around his mouth and nose.

The handle of the mug is painted like Vader’s classic lightsaber hilt. The interior is bright red.
Light Up Water Bottle – $39.99

One of the more unique “Star Wars” items is this light-up water bottle. The bottle is shaped like the hilt of Darth Vader’s lightsaber and comes with a red carry strap.

The bottle has a black flip cap on the top, but it also has a red screw lid underneath.

The red plastic on the inside of the lid has lights that turn on when the lid is opened. The bottle also makes a noise similar to the activation sound of a lightsaber when the outer lid is flipped. The speaker for the sound effects is located on the bottom of the bottle.
Crossbody Bag – $39.99

The white sketch pattern from the youth shirt is repeated on this adult crossbody bag. The bag is a triangular or teardrop shape with a thinner top and a wider section toward the bottom. The bag has two zipper compartments running in a curve across the center. The zipper and shoulder strap is black, but the carry handle and side strap are red.
Ear Headband – $34.99

Darth Vader is featured on this new Minnie ear headband. Icons of Vader’s helmet are attached on either side of the band in place of the usual round ears.

The bow in the center of the headband is red and has a circular Empire symbol in the middle. The bow is made of a harder, semi-plastic material that appears reflective in the light.

The ears are made of a black pleather material that makes the helmets appear shiny. The back of the ear headband is plain with no design.
Youth Long-Sleeve Shirt – $34.99

The next youth shirt is also white, but it has a new pattern and long sleeves. The front of the shirt has nine different “Star Wars” icons printed in straight rows. The icons include Vader’s helmet, the Death Star, a button panel, a TIE fighter, the Empire symbol, and crossed lightsabers along with text saying “Dark Side,” “Darth Vader,” and “Star Wars.”

The left sleeve of each shirt has a red lightsaber blade running down the arm. The silver handle of the lightsaber is printed near the wrist. The shirt also includes another red “Darth Vader” patch with the button panel, which we will see on several more of the new items.
Adult Black Sweatshirt – $59.99

This black adult sweatshirt is similar in nature to the Darth Vader hoodie, but has a simplified design. The sweatshirt is black with stitching to resemble Vader’s armor. The sweatshirt has a full hood with a red draw-string. The front has more of the red and blue square button patches, and well as another rectangular red button patch.
Youth Vader Shirt – $26.99

This next youth shirt is grey with a black outline of Darth Vader’s helmet in the middle. Boldface text says “Vader” below the helmet, and another red Empire logo is placed by the left shoulder.
Star Pattern Shirt – $34.99

In contrast to the previous shirt, this next item has Darth Vader’s helmet outlined in all white over a black starry fabric. The “Star Wars” wordmark is printed in red below the image. The back of this shirt is plain with more of the black starry pattern.
Beach Towel – $34.99

Guests can show their love of the Dark Side with this black and white striped beach towel. One corner of the towel has a bright red Empire logo printed in the corner.
Darth Vader Helmet Backpack – $39.99

This is the first of two new backpacks, and this one does not have any official branding or tags. The bag is shaped like Vader’s helped and made of more black pleather material. One central zipper runs across the top of the backpack, but it does not have a smaller pouch on the front.

The back of the bag trades the shiny black material for a more subtle black mesh. The bag has two adjustable shoulder straps and a carry handle on the top.
Darth Vader Loungefly Backpack – $90

The design of this new Loungefly backpack is very similar to the previous Darth Vader Loungefly backpack, but this version does not include Vader’s red lightsaber. The front shows Vader’s helmet on the top curve of the backpack, and the smaller pouch on the front has Vader’s chest panel filled with buttons.

The back is mostly plain black, apart from the small image of a TIE fighter on the bottom corner.

As with most other Loungefly branded bags, the backpack has two small slip pockets on either side. Both pockets have more fake button panels attached. The usual “Disney x Loungefly” tag is also placed on the right side rather than on the front.
Baseball Cap – $29.99

The final new item is this Darth Vader black baseball cap. The cap has the same two patches representing Vader’s chest buttons and the third rectangular patch with the button panel.

Most of the cap is basic black fabric, but one section on the left has the embroidered “Star Wars” text pattern previously seen on the shoulder bag.
In addition to these items, Disneyland Resort has released the first new Hyperspace Mountain merchandise since 2015 in honor of Season of the Force. Several of the items in this collection were also previously seen in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World.
