A new Disney’s Animal Kingdom guidemap debuted and Disney updated the park’s braille map following the permanent closure of “It’s Tough To Be A Bug.”
Animal Kingdom Guidemap

The guidemap cover features a child with binoculars looking up at the sky. Park rules are on the back. Information about select offerings and My Disney Experience are in the first fold.

Another page includes guest services and transportation information. Then there’s the legend and list of attractions, restaurants, shops, and more.
“It’s Tough To Be A Bug” is no longer listed under Discovery Island, which means the numbers for other items have changed.
Of course, the Tree of Life is still pictured on the map.
Now, however, there’s no number on the Tree of Life.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Braille Map Updated
The “It’s Tough To Be A Bug” text on the park’s braille map was shaved off.
Parts of DinoLand U.S.A. were also shaved off of the map. Previously, they were just covered with a green decal. The decal remains but looks much neater.
Compare to our photos of the map from last week:
The braille map is located on Discovery Island, just past the bridge, on the left.
Revisit “It’s Tough To Be A Bug,” which closed permanently on Sunday, March 16. It will be replaced by “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” this winter.
