In a post on their website, the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resort revealed concept art of an all-new, innovative game room experience which is coming soon.
Level Up Your Playtime: Lagoon Games & Lanes
The new experience will be called Lagoon Games, Lanes & Eats and will offer “the perfect blend of excitement and entertainment, featuring the latest in interactive gaming, from thrilling new releases to timeless classics.” A small set of bowling lanes will be available alongside numerous arcade-style video games perfect for guests of all ages.
Seating areas will also be available for guests to take a break and try some of the dishes and drinks that will be available. While no menu has been released, the website does mention that it is designed of every palate with snacks and full meals.
An opening date or exact location has not been announced, but the offering will be operating daily from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p,m. once it does open.
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin includes the Swan Resort, Dolphin Resort, and Swan Reserve, the latter of which opened in 2021. Recently, all 756 rooms at the Swan Resort were renovated and refreshed which was part of a $275 million update announced last year. The added game room experience is likely part of that budget which will also add 120,000 square feet to their pre-existing meeting and convention spaces, bringing the total to 469,000 square feet across the Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve.
