The “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” showrunners are in talks to write, showrun, and produce the series. Hasbro, which acquired Power Rangers in 2018, will produce.

The original “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” adapted from Japan’s “Super Sentai” and using footage from the original series, premiered in 1993. The franchise has nearly consistently produced TV shows since, the most recent being “Power Rangers Cosmic Fury” in 2023. The first feature film was released in 1995. Lionsgate and Saban Films attempted a reboot with the 2017 “Power Rangers” film, but it flopped at the box office. Hasbro then acquired the rights.

Hasbro Entertainment is producing multiple film and TV projects based on their properties, including “Clue,” “Dungeons & Dragons,” “Magic: The Gathering,” “Trivial Pursuit,” and “Scrabble.”

Steinberg co-created the “Percy Jackson” Disney+ series with author Rick Riordan, and co-showruns with Shotz. The first season aired in 2023 – 2024 and the second season will premiere this December. It was recently renewed for a third season.

Steinberg also co-created and executive produced with Shotz FX’s “The Old Man,” produced by Disney’s 20th Television. They are repped by WME.
