Here is V1 of our @HorrorNightsORL #HHN34 and @HorrorNights #HHN2025 Speculation Maps! Remember things can and will change, and focus less on locations! 😈 #HHN #UniversalHHN #HorrorNights pic.twitter.com/GcqqmrgATg
The new speculation map comes courtesy of @HHNightmares on X. The account has previously posted the speculation maps for Halloween Horror Nights for the past several years at Universal Orlando Resort, and they are often reasonably accurate. However, the original post notes that “Things can and will change, and focus less on locations!” HHNightmares previously posted an earlier version of the speculation map back in December using different, Christmas-themed symbols.

As with their usual speculation maps, each expected haunted house location is represented by an unlabeled symbol. While a few are hypothesized to represent known franchises, several of them likely represent original themes.
Soundstage 23A, the entrance to which is located next to Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, is shown with a symbol of a ship’s sail over waves. This same spot was originally shown as a white dove with two lily flowers on the previous map, which we guessed may be an original house or “The Last of Us Part II.”
Soundstage 22, which stages its queue in the Music Plaza, is shown with a thumbs-up symbol. This is likely intended as a reference to “Fallout,” which would be a new franchise for HHN this year.
Above this spot, soundstage 23B (Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon) is shown as a bloody film reel. This symbol may be a reference to Slaughter Sinema, a series of houses themed to a scary movie marathon shown at the Carey Drive-In. However, the Tent 1 spot shows a symbol of a pirate’s face with chains running across the bottom, which could be a reference to Hatchet and Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters from Slaughter Sinema 2. Other fans think the bloody film reel could be a representation of The Director, also known by his real name Paulo Ravinski, who was a main event icon for HHN13. The Director last appeared in the HHN Icons: Captured haunted house in 2021.

Moving around the park clockwise, soundstage 24B shows a round cityscape with wings, crossed scythes, and a horned skull. Nearby, soundstage 25 shows a magnifying glass focused on the form of a ghost. The magnifying glass is widely being speculated to represent the “Scream” franchise.
At the location for Fast & Furious: Supercharged is a symbol of a security camera. Fans are already hoping this symbol represents “Five Nights at Freddy’s.” The franchise was previously represented at HHN in Orlando during the Blumhouse: Behind the Screams experience, which included props used during the making of the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” film in 2023. This would also match our previous guess that the Christmas map showing a shelf of toys represented Blumhouse, since other films from the studio have included “The Purge” and “M3GAN.”
Tent 2 shows a figure wearing either a spacesuit or diving gear, and tent 3 is represented by an open book and some floating snowflakes. Both of these do not seem to reference any known franchise, so they are likely original haunted houses.
Finally, tent 4 (next to Men in Black: Alien Attack) has an image of two tied sacks or garbage bags. The current top guess is that these bags represent “Terrifier,” since the series received a third installment in 2024. We previously speculated that the area using a Santa Claus beard was a reference to “Terrifier” on the Christmas map, but it is entirely possible this same house merely moved locations.
The orange locations on the map represent some of the potential Scare Zone areas. All of them are labeled as unknown at the moment. The purple areas represent possible entertainment, and one purple location near Tent 3, the former Fear Factor Amphitheatre represented by a fire icon. In 2024, this spot was used for the return of the “Nightmare Fuel” stage show, and used the same fire symbol on speculation maps. Another year of Nightmare Fuel is likely.
