Anakin Skywalker and Ren Legacy Lightsaber Hilts Returning for Star Wars Day

As part of the preview for upcoming Star Wars merchandise coming to Disneyland Resort for May the 4th, Disney has revealed the return of both the Anakin Skywalker Lightsaber Set and the Ren Legacy Lightsaber Hilt.

The beginning of Season of the Force at Disneyland Park included a special preview of the merchandise collections coming to the resort for May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day. In addition to a new Star Wars apparel collection and a first look at the “Reclaimed and Reforged” lightsaber components coming to Savi’s Workshop, the preview also included two returning lightsabers.

Anakin Skywalker Lightsaber Set

A replica of a silver and black lightsaber is on display, labeled "Anakin Skywalker Lightsaber Set - Arriving This Fall," perfect for celebrating Star Wars Day. The Ren Legacy Lightsaber Hilts complete the showcase against the textured blue surface.

The first returning item is the Anakin Skywalker Lightsaber Set. This set includes both the collectible lightsaber hilt and the attached blade, as shown during the preview. The hilt is silver and is designed to match Anakin’s main lightsaber, which glows blue when turned on. The preview did not include any of the prices for the returning hilts.

The Ren Legacy Lightsaber Hilt

A detailed, metallic lightsaber hilt rests elegantly in a display box, adorned with a sign reading "The Ren Legacy Lightsaber Hilt." Perfectly capturing the spirit of Star Wars Day, this exquisite piece evokes the storied past of Anakin Skywalker.

The other returning Star Wars item is The Ren Legacy Lightsaber Hilt. This hilt was previously sold as a limited edition item for Life Day on November 17, 2024. Not to be confused with the character Kylo Ren, this hilt is called the Ren because those who wielded the blade were called Ren and led the Knights of Ren. The hilt is mostly silver with yellow details, including yellow spikes around the emitter.

This hilt originally came in a larger box when it was released last year because it was sold with a “Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren #1” comic book. It appears this hilt will not be exactly the same as the previous limited edition, and the box shown in the preview now matches the standard Legacy Lightsaber Hilt grey display box. The lid of the box has an oval Knights of Ren crest with bright red cracks in the center.

While not mentioned on the signs, both hilts are expected to be sold at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities starting on May the 4th at Disneyland Resort, and likely at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as well.

The beginning of Season of the Force at Disneyland Park also included a first look at a new RC Mouse Droid roaming robot, an appearance of Luke Skywalker with R2-D2, and the debut of the “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga” projectioni show.
