PHOTO REPORT: Magic Kingdom 3/10/2025 (Tornado Warnings, Fun Finds, and Magical Updates)

Howdy! Today was a bit windy and rainy, to put it lightly. Magic Kingdom was under a tornado warning at one point this morning, but through the storm, I found lots of cute merchandise and even some updates around the park.

Good Morning from Magic Kingdom

Collage of three images: a monorail entrance, a street view at night bustling with people, and a blue-lit castle reminiscent of the Magic Kingdom.

This time change is sure different. Granted, Magic Kingdom opened early this morning at 7:30 a.m. for early entry, but dang, the sun isn’t even up yet. The weather isn’t great this morning. The wind and little bursts of rain kept sneaking in as a preview of what the late morning was bringing.

Emporium Finds

Collage of Disney-themed merchandise, including three T-shirts with Mickey Mouse designs and a water bottle with "You had me at Walt Disney World" text, displayed in a retail setting—perfect for fans longing for those Magic Kingdom adventures.

In the Emporium, I found a new collection of Walt Disney World adult shirts featuring Mickey Mouse. Mickey’s shoes and pants seem to glimmer in shades of silver on the purple and gray shirt, while the blue and pink shirt has gold accents. Each shirt is available for $34.99.

A new steel water bottle featuring “You Had Me at Walt Disney World” with the same pattern seen on the belt bag last week. The top of the bottle has a rose-gold spill-resistant top. This floral bottle is available in the Emporium for $29.99.

Emporium Construction Update

A retail store interior with shelves displaying blue and pink plush toys evokes the charm of a mini Magic Kingdom. The store features soft lighting and empty display areas with cream and green wall panels, creating a whimsical atmosphere perfect for magical updates.

The refurbishment in the Emporium continues with a new section closed off from guests. We have already been informed that the plan is to continue to raise ceilings and open up the space for easier guest flow. Likely, we will continue to see similar changes made throughout the store like the previously completed section.

 Disney Treats-Themed Dooney & Bourke Backpack – $268.00

In the enchanting backdrop of a store teeming with confections, a person holds a tray with a colorful cupcake and a cute, cupcake-themed backpack, as if ready for an adventure in the Magic Kingdom.
*Cupcake sold separately in the Confectionery.

One of my Cast Member friends stopped me when they were having a photo shoot featuring the new Dooney & Burke Disney Treats-Themed Backpack. This gorgeous purple bag features a secure zipper at the back, which I love. These backpacks are available in Uptown Jewelers while the cupcakes remain in the Confectionery.

Let me know if you’ll be purchasing anything from this deliciously sweet collection in the comments below. It’s a bit campy for my taste, but I do think it’s very cute.

Walk Down Main Street U.S.A.

Split image: Left shows a crowd at night, with Magic Kingdom casting a blue-lit spell over the scene; right reveals the same castle during the day, shrouded under overcast skies.

Only a few minutes and what a difference it can make. In just under an hour, Cinderella Castle is once again in daylight. Unfortunately, the sun never really did come out today. Only about an hour after the second picture was taken, we were put under a tornado warning.

Adventureland

Collage of three images: Magic Kingdom's Adventureland entrance, a pirate-themed area, and a building with domed roofs, all in a theme park setting.

Adventureland seems to be at a standstill as far as construction progress goes. The small facade piece that was damaged over a month ago and repaired weeks ago remains untreated. The scrim on the Swiss Family Treehouse remains in place.

The Pirates Tavern is still safely tucked away behind construction walls for now. From Disney’s recent upload to social media, it doesn’t seem like much visual progress has been made behind those walls.

Be Our Guest Restaurant Menu

A wooden outdoor notice board with glass showcases paper documents. Close-up views reveal a round wooden cover and a decorative floral metal detail, with a weathered charm delivering magical updates as if straight from the Magic Kingdom itself.

The menu at Be Our Guest Restaurant is damaged. The far left medallion that featured a rose like the right medallion has been replaced with a common piece of wood. Hopefully, this is just a placeholder until Disney can whittle a new rose on.

Gaston’s Tavern

People enter Gaston's Tavern near a stone fountain with barrels and water spouts, feeling the enchantment of the Magic Kingdom. Close-up of a barrel spout with flowing water adds to the magical updates throughout this whimsical realm.

I noticed a weird crack in one of the mugs in the fountain in front of Gaston’s Tavern. I wonder if it has simply corroded over time or if something bumped it. The damage is in a perfect right angle, which makes me question how this occurred. Let me know your hypothesis in the comments below.

Big Top Souvenirs Finds

A delightful collage features three whimsical images: a packet of Disney mystery pins, a charming yellow plush toy, and a bunny-shaped confection adorned with sprinkles and a purple bow in a display case, reminiscent of the Magic Kingdom's enchanting treasures.

In Big Top Souvenirs in Storybook Circus, I saw that the Easter treats had arrived. I think Easter inspires some of the prettiest designs; it’s the colors.

I also found a new magical mystery pin collection, Series 30, featuring headphones designed with different character styles. My favorite is a mix between Princess Ariel and Powerline. Let me know your favorite in the comments below. This pin mystery is available for $9.99.

There is also a new Blissful Buddies plush of Simba available for $29.99. I prefer the new design of this plush to the original.

Team Green

Step into a futuristic display showcasing "Team Green," complete with robotic figures and an intriguing overview of a "MOTO Integrated Systems Engineer." Sponsored by Enterprise, the exhibition integrates magical updates that feel straight out of the Magic Kingdom.

The saga continues. Disney said that they were going to elaborate on some of the other members of Team Green, but nothing has changed. The typo remains under Moto. One day, this will be fixed, and it will be newsworthy. Until then, I remain disappointed.

Joffrey’s Revive Location Celebrate 8 Years

At the small cafe, "Joffrey's Revive," eager patrons stand in line beneath a cloudy sky. A large sign reads "Coffee • Espresso • Pastries," with whispers of Magical Updates floating through the air, as if you’re standing at the heart of Magic Kingdom itself.

Now, I can’t say with certainty that the filling in the “P” of Pastries has always been backwards, but it certainly has been for about the past two. Either way, the coffee still tastes good, and I love the little imperfection. I prefer Starbucks’ cold brew and Joffrey’s hot. Let me know if you have a preference in the comments below.

Star Traders – Stitch Galaxy Merchandise

Various pastel-themed Stitch clothing items and accessories are displayed in a store, reminiscent of the enchanting Magic Kingdom. The collection includes a tie-dye T-shirt, a mint green tee, and a lavender jacket paired with whimsical backpacks.

Disney continues to roll out this cute Stitch collection. I can’t even imagine the fandom and new merchandise that’s upon us when the live-action movie releases later this year. It will be absolute chaos and totally Stitch-coded. The cropped shirt and regular shirt are available in Star Traders for $34.99 each. The jean jacket in pastel colors is available for $79.99.

Star Traders Restock and FIGARO

Left: Rack of pink "Walt Disney World" sweatshirts. Right: Hand holding a gray cat-themed Disney Loungefly backpack. Experience magical updates as the Magic Kingdom unveils enchanting new merchandise that makes every visit feel like a whirlwind of joy and wonder!.

I spotted a full restock of the Princess Spirit Jersey in Star Traders. This Spirit Jersey sold so quickly and couldn’t be found anywhere, including the World of Disney in Disney Springs, so I am happy to see that it was restocked so quickly.

There is a new Loungefly backpack featuring Figaro in a soft plush fabric with pale yellow accents. The backpack is available in Star Traders for $90.00.

Train Rides and Railroad Updates

A collage of a theme park train and enchanting rock formations. Left: Red rocks with a green building under construction, part of the Magic Kingdom’s magical updates. Right: The red "Walter E. Disney" train with its conductor, chugging forward into adventure.

Given the weather, there wasn’t much to report from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. There were two construction workers on the mountain when I chugged by, but it looked like they were trying to move equipment to keep it from getting wet.

I would love to say that I enjoyed my ride on the Walter E. Disney train today, but it was rather wet, and the facial of rain I received upon our arrival back to Main Street from the wind whipping into the entrance was next level. It felt like the splash on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Crystal Arts Tiara Terror

The jewelry displays in the shop sparkle like treasures from the Magic Kingdom, featuring tiaras and various items. A side view of the building reveals a charming "Crystal Arts" sign, inviting passersby into its wondrous embrace.

I’m being dramatic; Crystal Arts is sold out of the customizable tiaras. They were a huge hit, clearly and unfortunately. Until they get more in stock, there is not an alternative option other than the premade tiaras.

Dapper Dans Don Spring Suits

Four men in matching pastel outfits and straw hats perform energetically in front of a building entrance, as if delivering magical updates straight from the heart of the Magic Kingdom.

I love that the Dapper Dans change their suits for the time of year. There is something so pure about their springtime get-ups that puts you in a pastel state of mind. Do you have a favorite Dapper Dan look? Let me know in the comments below.

Monorail Mondays

Collage showcasing a monorail at a platform, a ferryboat gliding on water, and people queuing at the "Magic Kingdom Monorail" sign, all under the charm of magical updates that transport you into an enchanting journey.

I took the resort monorail back to the Transportation and Ticket Center and saw the ferryboat going back to the marina for the day. When I arrived at the TTC, I was surprised to see how many people were crowding in the express monorail line. Then I remembered… It’s Spring Break.

Three flags on poles: two with a stylized "D" logo on the left and right, and one in the center featuring a Mickey Mouse design. The Magic Kingdom scene is set under an overcast sky with trees in the background.

I hope you enjoyed our blustery morning around Magic Kingdom. Sometimes, these are the best days when the weather isn’t too aggressive. The park is rather clear, and if you don’t mind embracing the rain, it’s fun to walk in what feels like a wide-open park.

Let me know in the comments if you have any memorable experiences in the rain at Walt Disney World.
