Following the installation of a new Universal letters sign, a second sign has now been installed across the intersection of Kirkman Rd and Major Blvd / Tom Williams Way.
Second Universal Letters Sign Installed
We first spotted the new giant lettering-style sign on March 20. At the time, only one sign on the right of the intersection was installed in the direction of oncoming traffic. However, the planforms on the left side of the intersection were also being prepped, so we anticipated a second sign would also be installed on this side.
The sign on the left corner of Kirkman Rd and Major Blvd / Tom Williams Wy is now complete. Like the first sign, the area is now comprised of three tiered platforms decorated with a few small plants. Each tier is painted a different color, ranging from bright blue to grey and white. Large letters saying “Universal” in white with gold edges have been installed on the second, dark grey tier.
The landscaping around the new signs also seems to be mostly complete. The small shrubs have all been planted in a pattern around the curved sign, though a few small piles of dirt have yet to be completely flattened.
These two new signs join the list of several recent signage updates at Universal Orlando Resort prepares for the grand opening of Epic Universe on May 22. Recently, the new Universal Orlando Resort globe signs were installed as several of the road intersections. The updated signs have digital screens that showcase rotating images of characters and franchises featured at the parks. Universal Orlando Resort also added digital direction signs in the main resort parking garage back in December of 2024.
