In 2003, Kim co-founded The Hundreds with Ben Shenassafar. He also co-founded the fashion-meet-streetwear festival “Family Style,” which was then acquired by Complex in 2024.

Kim has previously worked with Disney when he led The Hundreds’ Disney collaboration. Kim will oversee the merchandise and licensed products that are sold at the Disney Store online as well as in brick-and-mortar locations, Disney Parks, and other retailers. He will report to Disney’s Senior Vice President of Global Creative, Marcus Rosie.

In an Instagram post, Kim announced his apparel label closed its flagship on streetwear corridor Fairfax Avenue. The company will continue to sell online and at other retailers; however, Kim is stepping down as the creative director.

Disney’s Senior Vice President of Global Creative, Rosie, said,

With more than 20 years of experience, Bobby’s creativity and cultural influence transcends fashion. His commitment to innovation and authenticity makes him the ideal candidate to lead our Americas creative teams, as we continue to surprise and delight consumers through our licensed, theme parks and Disney Store businesses.

His collaboration at The Hundreds with Disney included a 2008 collection, where The Lost Boys from the film “Peter Pan” were reimagined for a new audience.

Kim previously told The Hollywood Reporter,

I remember at that time [Disney] really only targeted childred and female audiences. They said ‘We have no inroads with men.’ And I said ‘If you work with us, I’ll show you.’ It opened up an entire new lane; more young guys were getting into Disney.
