The Golden Horseshoe restaurant in Disneyland Park has finally received a themed scrim to cover the metal scaffolding around the building while the facade is under refurbishment.

The Golden Horseshoe Receives Themed Scrim

People walk past a construction area covered with a themed scrim of a Spanish-style building, labeled "THE COLBY WHEREHOUSE." The scene has the charm reminiscent of the Golden Horseshoe. Trees and plants are visible in the foreground, adding a touch of nature.

While the facade of The Golden Horseshoe in Disneyland Park has already been under refurbishment for several weeks, the building has now been wrapped in a new themed scrim. Previously, the metal scaffolding that surrounds the building on all sides was left uncovered and visible to guests above the construction walls.

The Golden Horseshoe receives a fresh look as its facade is covered for renovation behind a themed scrim, perfectly depicting the building's exterior. Visitors stroll past a welcoming sign that reads "We're Open!" at the entrance.

Similar to the themed scrims that were added to Jolly Holiday Bakery and Elias & Co at Disneyland Resort earlier this year, the new scrim is designed to look like the building’s usual walls and sign. The scrim has tan and orange walls with the restaurant’s windows half-covered by red curtains. The white and gold Golden Horseshoe sign is also printed on each side.

Although The Golden Horseshoe is receiving some facade repairs, the restaurant is still open to guests. The brown construction walls that frame most of the building have been left open for the restaurant’s main entrance on the corner. Signs lining the walls remind guests “We’re Open!”

A building under renovation receives a fresh look with a themed scrim, beautifully resembling its façade. As people walk by and trees sway gently in the background, it feels like an artful touch added to the Golden Horseshoe's vibrant scene.

The themed scrims wraps around all three sides of The Golden Horseshoe building, completely blocking the ongoing refurbishment from guest view. On the right side, the scrims reach all the way to the entrance for the nearby Stage Door Cafe.

The work on the The Golden Horseshoe facade is expected to take a few more weeks, but the restaurant is not expected to close or otherwise alter its usual operating schedule. The restaurant previously closed for a refurbishment in the fall of 2023, but that work was focused more on the interior and involved the installation of new flooring inside the dining area.
