Construction crews are making steady progress on the new Disney Lakeshore Lodge being built at Walt Disney World, and most of the structure’s fourth floor is now nearly complete.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge Construction Update

The construction site for the Disney Lakeshore Lodge is bustling with cranes near a body of water, all under a partly cloudy sky.

In our last construction update, we noted work beginning on a fourth floor of the new resort. It’s located along the shores of Bay Lake, between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, where the water park River Country was once located.

The construction site by the waterfront buzzed with activity, as cranes and equipment on a barge labeled "FLOATMASTER" worked tirelessly against the backdrop of buildings and trees. Nearby, the future Disney Lakeshore Lodge at Walt Disney World began to take shape.

Behind a series of Floatmaster barges, two cranes tower over a single-story section of the resort. Crew members were working atop the structure in towers of rebar. On a taller part of the building in the background, more walls have gone up and been encased in concrete.

Most of the fourth floor is now complete on the majority of the building, with work beginning on the fifth floor. We know from a September 2024 permit that the resort is expected to be 10 stories tall when complete.

On the second floor, there are steel frames for future walls. These might be our first signs of actual hotel rooms.

Around the side of the building are more steel frames, these creating the exterior walls of rooms.

There are empty spaces within the frames for future windows.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge is replacing the previous Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge project and is expected to open sometime in 2027.
