Scrim Removed From Red’s Community Garden in Cars Land

The entrance to Red’s Community Garden is now open once again after a short refurbishment. However, the scrim may have been removed a little bit too early as a wet substance (likely paint or sealant) was still visible shortly after the entrance was uncovered.

Red’s Community Garden has had a bumpy start. Only a week after the area opened, the entrance pergola was completely covered in scrim. Now, less than two weeks after being covered with scrim, the entrance is fully visible, once again.

The paint/coating was still drying in several areas of the pergola.

It appears that the refurbishment was to paint over potential scratches or dings created upon construction. Many of the areas that have been touched-up are near the white cross-beams that create the overhead arch.

Along with the paint touch-ups, there is also newly poured concrete around the columns of the structure.

The newly renovated area is located just to the right of the completed construction at the Cozy Cone Motel. The seating area behind the entryway remained open throughout the refurbishment.
