The scaffolding surrounding the new roof structure by Test Track has been completely removed, and construction crew members have now dug a massive hole in front of the building.

Test Track Scaffolding Removed

A construction site with workers in yellow vests and scaffolding surrounds a modern building with a curved glass facade. A circular foundation structure lies in the foreground under a cloudy sky, reminiscent of EPCOT's futuristic design.

During our previous Test Track construction update, a large section of the scaffolding erected near the new roof structure had been removed. At the time of writing, all of the scaffolding is now completely gone, revealing the nearly complete roof for the first time.

Construction workers in yellow helmets bustle near a modern building with a glass facade, reminiscent of EPCOT’s sleek designs. Amidst the greenery and scaffolding, they labor under a partly cloudy sky.

The curved roof looks almost identical to the previously released concept art for the attraction. The panels on either side are supposed to be silver, but it appears they are still wrapped in protective plastic to keep the metal from getting scratched.

Zooming in a little closer, we can also see where construction crew members were all working together to dig a large hole on the left side. This hole is not for the updated attraction sign, as that is supposed to go in the large circular cutout seen at the bottom of this picture.

A modern curved building with large windows and an overhang stands elegantly under a partly cloudy sky, as surrounding trees sway gently. Scaffolding removal signals the final phase of construction, with materials visible in the foreground.

Most of the space around the Test Track building in EPCOT was torn up during the renovation process. New concrete will need to be poured down the central path and along the right side of the building. This right corner is currently being used to stage construction materials and tools.

While we have been keeping track of the exterior work, Disney has confirmed that the reimagined Test Track will primarily focus on changes to the overall ride experience. Disney has shared a video of construction crew members working inside the ride area, which is set to include a new forest section and be inspired by the original World of Motion attraction. Test Track is expected to reopen sometime in late 2025.
