The majority of the metal scaffolding has been removed from the front of the Test Track building, allowing a better look at the ongoing reimaging of the attraction at EPCOT.
Test Track Scaffolding Removed

Construction on the reimagined Test Track is continuing at a rapid pace, with most of the metal scaffolding that covered the front of the building now removed. The majority of the Test Track building is now visible, with only a few scaffolding sections still present on the left side of the new roof structure.

For comparison, above is an image of the Test Track building taken just two days ago on March 27, during our most recent construction update. At this time, the area was being prepped for concrete pouring in front of the new roof structure. In all of the previous photos, the new roof structure was difficult to see through the layers of metal walkways.

The removal of the scaffolding allows us a much better look at what appears to be the nearly-complete roof structure. The front curve of the roof is covered in black panels, while the sides are still wrapped in some brown plastic. Now that the structure is mostly finished, it appears more of the work is taking place underneath the roof. As we watched, construction crew members were busy installing new light fixtures and other elements.

The roof looks remarkably similar to the concept art previously released by Disney, which shows the structure as a rounded portico in black and silver. The thin strips of lights illuminating the entrance also appear identical to how they are pictured in the concept art.
Disney also confirmed during a recent media event that the changes for reimagining Test Track are mostly focused on the overall ride experience, as opposed to the pre- and post-shows. The scene with the neon laser trees, for example, will replaced by a scene that looks like a real forest with dense greenery. Disney also shared a short video clip of construction crew members working inside the attraction earlier this month.
Test Track is expected to reopen sometime in late 2025, but no official date has been announced.
