UPDATE: Construction Walls Down From Near Fairytale Garden Revealing Ongoing Pavement Work at Magic Kingdom

The construction walls that went up near Fairytale Garden at Magic Kingdom last month have been removed, revealing fresh concrete.

Magic Kingdom Pavement Work

People walking and gathering near strollers parked by hedges on a sunny day in an outdoor public area.

Rolling planters still block part of the area between Mirabel’s meet and greet and Cheshire Cafe. All the offerings in the area remain open during this construction.

A group of people stand and walk outdoors near benches, with a red and black stroller left unattended on the pavement.

A fresh patch of concrete pavement is open where the construction walls used to be.

There are some messy lines where the new pavement meets the old. The new concrete is darker than the old faded pavement.

A blue cement bucket lies on muddy ground near green plants and planks, hinting at recent concrete work.

Behind the planters, we could see that more of the walkway has been torn up and is yet to be replaced.

Another fresh patch of concrete is on the other side of the planters, in front of Fairytale Garden.

Like the other patch, this one has some messy edges.

A close-up of intersecting concrete slabs showcases diverse textures, echoing expert concrete work.

With ongoing concrete replacement, these edges will likely be cleaned up.

With near-constant foot traffic (and parade traffic in certain areas), pavement throughout the parks has to be replaced every once in a while. Late last year, crews installed new themed pavement in Adventureland. Bricks were recently replaced at the main entrance of Liberty Square.
