Universal Helios Grand Hotel is now open, with a gift shop full of Epic Universe merchandise, including some new items.
Universal Helios Grand Hotel Gift Shop
Like other Universal Hotels, the gift shop is just dubbed the “Universal Studios Store.” You can find it by turning right in the hotel’s lobby, between the check-in area and the quick service location. The shop will be on your immediate right.
It offers much of the same Epic Universe merchandise released over the past several months at Universal CityWalk, Universal Terra Luna Resort, and Universal Stella Nova Resort. There is also generic Universal Orlando Resort merchandise and basic hotel amenities.
Donkey Kong Headband – $25
A pair of plush barrels with Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong inside sit atop a red headband. The Donkey Kong barrel features the red and yellow “DK” logo. The Diddy barrel has a white arrow pointing up.
Super Nintendo World at Epic Universe will open with the Donkey Kong Country expansion that just opened this past December at Universal Studios Japan, home of the original Super Nintendo World.
Chef Toad Headband – $27
Chef Toad is featured on the top of this headband. He’s wearing a chef’s outfit with a small chef’s hat atop his head. In his hands are a frying pan and a wooden spoon.
The headband is red with white polka dots and symbols of Chef Toad. The main Super Nintendo World dining location is Toadstool Cafe, expected to offer the same dishes as the Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Japan versions of the restaurant.
Banana Peel and Star Headband – $27
This black headband displays a plush banana peel and a super star like the ones seen in Mario games. Facial features are embroidered onto both the banana peel and the star.
Bob-omb Headband – $27
Two plush bob-ombs are displayed on the top of this headband. The bob-ombs are dark blue with yellow feet and embroidered white eyes.
Plush gold wind-up mechanisms are attached to the backs, and the tops feature burnt-looking fuses.
Boo Headband – $27
This headband features two plush Boo ghosts. One ghost has its hands up by its face with a shy expression and pink tones on its face. The other Boo has both arms up and tongue sticking out, showing off its pointy teeth. Both Boos have embroidered facial features.
The back of the plush Boos both have short white tails.
Ravenclaw Shirt – $40
This T-shirt is themed to the Hogwarts house of Ravenclaw. Two black ravens are displayed on the shirt, facing each other. Between them is a blue “R” and a blue starburst. The word “Ravenclaw” is in blue text above them.
Inside the neckline of the shirt is a blue and black pattern of ravens and the Ravenclaw “R.”
The back of the shirt features a pleather brown patch of the Ravenclaw crest.
Gryffindor Shirt – $40
Gryffindor house is featured on this shirt with two yellow lions facing one another and a large “G” and starburst between them. “Gryffindor” is in dark red text above.
The interior neckline displays a red and black all-over pattern of the Gryffindor lions and the letter “G.”
The back of the shirt features a brown patch of the Gryffindor crest.
Slytherin Shirt – $40
Slytherin house is featured on this shirt. Two green snakes face one another with a large black “S” and a starburst between them. “Slytherin” is in black text.
The inner neckline displays a green and black pattern of the letter “S” and snakes.
The back of the shirt features a brown patch of the Slytherin crest.
Hufflepuff Shirt – $40
Hufflepuff house is featured on this shirt with two yellow badgers. An “H” and a starburst symbol are situated between them. “Hufflepuff” is in black text above them.
The interior neckline has a yellow all-over pattern of the letter “H” and badgers.
The back displays a brown patch of the Hufflepuff house crest.
