A brand-new Key to Disneyland experience is coming to the park this summer for the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration.
Key to Disneyland Details
With Key to Disneyland, guests will “Embark on a journey to unlock magical surprises—including a special keepsake—during the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration!”
According to the experience’s backstory, the lands of Disneyland Park have been “collecting magic” for the past 70 years “and Mickey Mouse needs your help to unlock the festivities for the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration.”
With the Key to Disneyland, you’ll unleash hidden magic in each land. Plus, unlock a commemorative trading pin at the end of your journey!
The physical Key to Disneyland is a large light-up souvenir that will be available for purchase at select shops in Disneyland Park and at World of Disney in Downtown Disney District. Disney did not say how much a key will be. Inside each key is 1 of 9 hidden commemorative pins — but guests will only be able to open their key after completing the experience.
After purchasing, guests must explore Disneyland Park to find the 70th Celebration lock station in each land:
- Disneyland Fire Station on Main Street, U.S.A.
- Aladdin’s Lamp inside Adventureland Bazaar in Adventureland
- In New Orleans Square
- Outside of Pooh Corner in Bayou Country
- Across from Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
- Wilderness Expeditions and Delivery Service Wagon (near the entrance to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge) in Frontierland
- Across from Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin in Mickey’s Toontown
- Fantasy Faire in Fantasyland
- Near the exit of Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters in Tomorrowland
Insert the Key to Disneyland into the lock to reveal an icon, light effect, and music for that land on the key. Disney didn’t specifically say, but it seems the lock stations can be visited in any order.
After unlocking the magic in all 9 lands of Disneyland, guests must find the Mickey Topiary Finale lock station by the entrance to the park, near the Newsstand and tunnel. There, the key will “unlock more surprises” including the trading pin.
The commemorative trading pins will not be available for separate purchase. The Key to Disneyland and pins are not refundable, exchangeable, or returnable.

The key saves your progress so you can complete the experience at your leisure during the course of the 70th anniversary celebration — all in one day or across multiple days. The experience will only be active during the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, starting on May 16, 2025, and continuing through the summer of 2026.
Key to Disneyland is intended for ages 4 and up. The experience sounds similar to other interactive Disney Parks experiences like the extinct Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, which sent guests around the Florida park searching for portals and battling villains with trading cards, or MagicBand+ games like the Fab 50 Quest and Batuu Bounty Hunters.
