Hayden Christensen and Rory McCann have officially been announced as cast in the upcoming season of Ahsoka on Disney+.
Hayden Christensen Returning

Announced at this week’s Star Wars Celebration in Japan, Hayden Christensen will be reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker once again. Previously, Christensen’s return was not guaranteed, although show star, Rosario Dawson hoped he would. While the specifics of his return have not been released, it is likely that it will be a smaller role as it was in season one when he appeared as a Force ghost to complete Ahsoka’s training in the World Between Worlds.
Rory McCann as Baylan Skoll

Rory McCann, who is best known for playing The Hound in Game of Thrones, has also been officially announced as the new actor behind Baylan Skoll. The original actor, Ray Stevenson, passed away in May 2023. His role in Ahsoka season one was filmed prior to his passing.
Baylan Skoll is a former Jedi turned mercenary and is one of the main antagonists in the Ahsoka series. He partnered with Morgan Elsbeth and the Nightsisters in their search to find Grand Admiral Thrawn in season one.

Dave Filoni also announced that Ahsoka Season 2 will also feature Little Loth cats, joking the “he has to pay for the show somehow,” implying there may be Loth Kitten merchandise in the works.
More Chopper
Filoni also teased the return of more Thrawn, Ezra, Hera, and Chopper, referencing the “big deal” that people made of the droid. He says that there is “a lot” more Chopper. Check out the clip from the panel shared on X:
Ahsoka Season 2

Also rumored to reprise her role is Natalie Portman as Padmé Amidala in season 2 of the Disney+ series “Ahsoka.” While it’s uncertain where Amidala would fit within the series, there is speculation that she could appear via the World Between Worlds, a realm in which Ahsoka encountered her old Jedi Master in the first season. She could also appear in flashbacks, like those used in “Obi-Wan Kenobi.”
Production on “Ahsoka” season 2 is scheduled to begin later this year. The main cast are all expected to return as well. “Ahsoka” is a spin-off from “The Mandalorian,” and Disney+ describes the series as “former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.”
Other announcements from Star Wars Celebration Japan include a new Darth Maul animated series, the title of Shawn Levy’s new “Star Wars” film with Ryan Gosling confirmed to star, and a new logo and first images from “The Mandalorian and Grogu.”
