Universal Fan Fest Nights kicks off this weekend at Universal Studios Hollywood, and new “Back to the Future” 40th anniversary merchandise is available for the event. The classic film was released in theaters on July 3, 1985.
This merchandise is available to all Universal Studios Hollywood guests, not just those attending Universal Fan Fest Nights.
Marty McFly Ball Cap – $35
This colorful holographic ball cap is inspired by the one worn by Marty McFly (and his son, Marty McFly Jr.) in “Back to the Future Part II.”
A small black patch on the back features the “Back to the Future” logo. “Universal Studios” is printed on the Velcro strap.
Blueprints Notebook – $25
This spiral notebook has a blue cover with white schematics for Doc’s time machines. At the top is the original version of the DeLorean. In the center is the upgraded version, including flight, as well as the hoverboard. The third time machine is the train from the end of “Back to the Future Part III.”
The back of the notebook is also blue with the “Back to the Future” Logo.
The pages are lined.
Magnet Set – $10
This pack includes two magnets. The first depicts the view out of the DeLorean’s windshield. “Back to the Future” is against a colorful vortex. Doc’s hands are visible on the wheel, while Marty’s hands hold the hoverboard and almanac. The time circuits are in the center.
The second magnet is a composite of three images creating a “Welcome to Hill Valley” postcard. Each image shows a different time period that Doc and Marty visit. The DeLorean is in the foreground.
“40 Years” License Plate – $13
Inspired by the DeLorean’s license plate, this vanity plate reads “40 Years” instead of “OUTATIME.” “Back to the Future” is across the top. A red element in the upper corner reads “BTTF 85 OUTATIME” with a clock face. “Doc” is in the other corner. “1985 – 2025” is at the bottom.
40th Anniversary Mug – $15
This mug is black with video game-inspired “Back to the Future” art on one side. The pixel-ized image includes the time-traveling DeLorean facing the Hill Valley town hall. A speech bubble coming out of the car reads, “This is heavy, Doc…” The UI design includes the player’s score, remaining lives, level, fuel, speed, and flux capacitor.
On the reverse side of the mug is the “Back to the Future 40” logo, which is repeated on other merchandise. It includes the classic orange-yellow “Back to the Future” wordmark. The “40” is light blue with an arrow incorporated into the 4. Within the 0 is the clock face with Doc’s silhouette. A lightning bolt connects the wordmark and number.
The outside of the mug is black with a square handle. The inside is white. It’s microwave safe, but hand wash only.
40th Anniversary Shot Glass / Toothpick Holder – $10

The shot glass matches the mug with the video game art on one side and the 40th art on the reverse.
The inside is black. This is also hand-wash only.
Video Game Pin – $8
The video game artwork is featured on this rectangular pin. It has a silver border.
40th Anniversary Pin – $10
This pin is shaped around the 40th anniversary logo.
40th Anniversary Keychain – $11
The 40th anniversary logo hangs from a short silver chain connected to a keyring. The keychain also has a lobster claw clip.
The back of the charm is silver with the Universal Studios logo.
40th Anniversary Collectible Spoon – $20
The collectible spoon (for decorative use only) features the 40th logo at the end of the handle. Fire runs down the handle, leading to the DeLorean zipping through time on the spoon’s bowl. The background behind the DeLorean is gray with “1985” and “1955,” inspired by the time circuits.
40th Anniversary T-Shirt – $33
This first tee is white with a black neckline and sleeve cuffs. The 40th anniversary logo is on the chest.
UNIVRS 40th Anniversary T-Shirt – $30
This ringer tee, part of Universal’s UNIVRS brand, is similar to the one above. Instead of the logo on the chest, it has a screenshot from the first “Back to the Future” film of Doc and Marty looking at the two lines of fire left by the DeLorean after its first jump through time.
The 40th anniversary logo is on the left sleeve instead.
UNIVRS Puffer Vest – $95

This puffer vest is inspired by Marty’s famous look in the first film. It zips up and has two zip front pockets. On the back is a silver and blue version of the “Back to the Future” logo and the flying DeLorean, pictured against an orange, yellow, and white circle design.
UNIVRS Tank Top – $30
The UNIVRS tank top is white with the original license plate design across the chest, including “OUTATIME.”
UNIVRS 40th Anniversary Wallet – $25
It was the 1980s, so Marty had his own fabric Velcro wallet, replicated for the 40th anniversary collection. The anniversary logo is on the front of the red wallet. It has black trim.
Inside is a printed image of the flux capacitor. It has a zip pocket, a clear ID pocket, and three card slots.
UNIVRS 40th Anniversary Pouch – $30
This pouch, which could fit a small laptop or tablet, features a green and white paisley pattern across a light gray background, stylized after Marty’s jacket worn at the beginning of the first film. The flap is blue and black denim with a silver-tone snap. The 40th anniversary logo is on a patch in the lower right corner.

The interior lining is solid off-white.
UNIVRS Hoverboard Zip Pouch – $30
This small pouch could hold a few necessities. It’s inspired by the pink hoverboard Marty “borrows” in “Back to the Future Part II.” The hoverboard’s pink, yellow, white, and green geometric pattern is printed on the front and back, with “Hoverboard” on yellow stripes.

A pink plastic zipper runs around the rounded top of the bag. The sides are pink with a waffle texture. The interior lining is solid pink.
UNIVRS Pillow – $40
The flux capacitor, which makes time travel possible, is pictured on the front of this pillow. The classic image is printed behind a layer of clear plastic with a black pleather border. “Shield Eyes From Light” is on a red label across the faux glowing elements. “Disconnect Capacitor Drive Before Opening” is pictured above.
The rest of the pillow is white. There is nothing on the back.
Limited Edition 40th Anniversary Figurine – $38
A small all-silver replica of the DeLorean sits on a black base. The background is the Hill Valley town hall with lightning above. The traditional “Back to the Future” logo is in the upper left corner, while a gold-tone version of the 40th anniversary logo is in 3D in the lower right. On the front of the base is a gold plaque reading, “Back to the Future 40th Anniversary Limited Edition.” The back of the display is black.
Because none of this merchandise is branded for Universal Fan Fest Nights, it might be released at Universal Orlando Resort, too.
Universal Fan Fest Nights takes place on select evenings from April 25 through May 18, 2025. “Back to the Future” offerings include the opportunity to step into Courthouse Square and meet characters.
In addition to “Back to the Future,” Universal Fan Fest Nights will celebrate Star Trek, Dungeons & Dragons, One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and Super Nintendo World. Glinda and Elphaba from “Wicked” will also appear. Check out the event’s cosplay guidelines, a preview of more merchandise, and special menu items.
