As part of the update, Imagineers are bringing new natural scenes with animal figures inspired by Marc Davis’ original concept art, including:
- Buffalo on the prairie
- Deer near the waterfalls
- Genuine 19th Century props
- Renovated Molly Brown Riverboat
Marc Davis was one of Disney’s “Nine Old Men,” a group of animators who worked at Walt Disney Productions in its early years. Davis joined Disney in 1935, starting as an animator on “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” He later moved to WED and worked on such attractions as Jungle Cruise, Enchanted Tiki Room, Carousel of Progress, “it’s a small world,” The Haunted Mansion, and Country Bear Jamboree.
Disneyland Paris also recently teamed up with Doritos to create new Doritos Loaded snacks coming soon to Frontierland’s Overland Trail Cafe, where teams added elements to the exterior and interior of the cafe to support the story and include Doritos branding.

The image shared by the Disney Parks Blog includes a quick glimpse of the model, including the new attractions around the upcoming Adventure Bay. The Pride Lands area, which will be themed to The Lion King and include a new log-flume attraction, is shown to the left of The World of Frozen. Disney has also just announced a new attraction themed to Pixar’s “UP!” coming to the reimagined park, which can be seen to the left of the walkway leading towards Adventure Bay.
