Decks Framed on Newest DVC Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

Painting of the two newest DVC Cabins at Fort Wilderness now appears complete as construction begins on deck installation.

Two small, modern DVC cabins with slanted roofs are under construction in a wooded area at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. One cabin is red, the other beige. Trees and a partially built wooden deck are visible in the foreground.

In our last update, we noticed that the newly constructed cabins had received a coat of paint. Now, the cabins appear to be fully painted. The cabin on the left has been painted a shade of red, while the one on the left has been painted a shade of tan. Prior to painting, both cabins had a yellow exterior color.

During this visit, we noticed that the framing of the decks is nearing completion. However, the decking floor still needs to be constructed. Aside from the main color, each cabin has wooden and iron details, which are inspired by the resort’s idyllic setting while also paying homage to the resort’s unique culture and heritage. There are also large windows and a sliding glass door, which allow for a lot of natural lighting.

The new DVC cabins are stand-alone and can sleep up to six adults. The new cabins include a bedroom, bathroom, living room, full kitchen, and private patio. Disney first announced in 2023 that the cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort would be replaced with new ones, which opened on July 1, 2024.
