All the construction walls are gone from the expansion of the Universal Studios Store at Universal CityWalk Orlando, although work on the store isn’t done.
Universal Studios Store Construction
The expansion pad was the former location of Quiet Flight Surf Shop and Cinnabon, right next to the Universal Cinemark. Since our last update, construction walls were removed from the facade facing the movie theater’s courtyard.
Where the walls used to be is a set of double doors. On one side is a yellow wall. On the other side is a large blue column.
Floor-to-ceiling windows wrap around the corner. The view inside the store is blocked from the inside.
The top edge of the facade is not complete. There’s still exposed plywood with black frames and hardware. The elevators to the second floor of CityWalk have remained open during construction.
On the left, next to the elevator,s is another yellow wall.
Construction walls are also gone from around the now completed red archway over another set of entrance doors. The arch was only covered in red paneling when we checked in earlier this month.
There are four doors within the archway.
There’s nothing around the very bottom of the archway yet. A base might be installed later, so it has a more finished appearance.
There’s no signage around the doors yet, either.
One more yellow wall is at the end of the expansion.
The updated Universal Studios Store will have a new Harry Potter section and a Super Nintendo World section. The bright yellow, red, and blue color scheme does seem to reflect the world of Mario.
