During Star Wars Celebration Japan, Disney and Lucasfilm released a teaser for “Star Wars: Visions” volume 3 and announced “The Ninth Jedi,” a spinoff coming in 2026.
Star Wars: Visions Volume 3

“Star Wars: Visions” is an animated anthology series. Volume 1 premiered in 2021, followed by volume 2 in 2023. Volume 3 will be on Disney+ beginning on October 29, 2025.
The teaser announced the nine anime studios working on this season: Polygon Pictures, Wit Studio, Kinema Citrus Co., David Production, Production I.G., Project Studio Q, Trigger, Kamikaze Douga, and Anima.

Coming to Disney+ in 2026 is “The Ninth Jedi,” the first “Star Wars: Visions Presents” limited series. It’s based on “The Ninth Jedi” episode of volume 1 and a sequel episode, “Child of Hope,” in the upcoming volume 3. The episodes are written and directed by Kenji Kamiyama of Production I.G.
Disney and Lucasfilm also revealed images from “The Mandalorian and Grogu,” announced the title of Shawn Levy’s “Star Wars” film starring Ryan Gosling, announced a Darth Maul animated series, and revealed details of “Ahsoka” season 2.
