The Universal Mega Movie Parade has officially returned to Universal Studios Florida for 2025, including floats themed to “Jurassic World,” “Jaws,” “Ghostbusters,” and more.
Universal Mega Movie Parade 2025

The Universal Mega Movie Parade debuted in 2024, starting with technical rehearsals last July. Following the parade’s premiere, both a “Jurassic World” raptor paddock float and the “Ghostbusters” Ecto-1 were added to the lineup.
The floats and order for the 2025 version of the parade are mostly unchanged. However, both of the floats for “Kung Fu Panda” and “Trolls” were removed from the lineup. It’s unclear if they’ve been permanently cut or if the floats were unavailable today. The parade begins with a group of blue-clad dancers and a screen-based float featuring the Universal Mega Movie Parade logo.

The first section is themed to “Back to the Future” and includes Marty McFly, Doc Brown, and their time-traveling DeLorean leaving a trail of steam.

The next section includes a float from Illumination’s “Sing.” Gunter and Rosita are wearing their sparkly purple performance outfits.

Keeping with the Illumination theme, the following float is covered in Minions. As this time-traveling float passes by, the soundtrack changes to a cover of the Lipps Inc. song “Funkytown.” This section was usually followed by two DreamWorks floats for “Kung Fu Panda” and “Trolls,” but they were both absent.

One of the larger sections of the parade is themed to “Ghostbusters.” The Ecto-1 vehicle that was added to the parade last year is still included in the lineup.

The “Ghostbusters” float features a 16-foot Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and depicts the final battle from the original film.

Performers riding bicycles lead the way for the house-shaped “E.T. The Extra Terrestrial” float.

Next, a live band performing the “Jaws” main theme song welcomes guests to the “Amity 4th of July Celebration.”

Bruce the shark is shown crashing his head through the Orca, leaving a trail of waves and rubble in his wake.

The “Jurassic World” section of the parade begins with one of the park’s orb-shaped vehicles.

The raptor paddock float added last year also makes a reappearance.

The parade’s finale is the large float featuring an animated Tyrannosaurus rex just after it flipped over a still-smoking car.
The Universal Mega Movie Parade will have daily performances through April 24, on April 26 and 27, May 1, May 3-8, May 10-15, and then from May 18 through August 26. After those dates, the parade will perform on August 28, every Monday and Tuesday in September and October, and November 3-13.
