After being removed and replaced with a decal, the iconic “it’s a small world” clock face has returned along with some additional walkway becoming visible as brickwork continues.

After being temporarily replaced with a decal, the physical clock face has retuned to the facade of “it’s a small world.” The returning clock face is new version, with more streamlined and clean features. The old version, shown below, was less smooth, almost appearing to be made of eight individual triangles.

“it’s a small world” in Disneyland Park closed for another multi-month refurbishment in late January 2025. While the attraction normally closes at the beginning of the year for the removal of the attraction’s holiday overlay, Disney has extended the usual refurbishment period in order to make changes and improvements prior to the resort’s 70th Anniversary Celebration, starting on May 16.
The official Disneyland Resort website calendar lists operating hours for the attraction beginning on May 9, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. The attraction is no longer on the refurbishment list after May 8, indicating its reopening on May 9. The attraction was previously scheduled to reopen on April 25.

Construction at the attraction has been ongoing for several months including work to the interior, exterior, and other areas around the attraction.

Over the past several months, different sections of the nearby guest walkway have been blocked as bricks are removed and replaced. More of that walkway is now visible as work continues.

A new verse of the classic “it’s a small world” song will debut on the ride during Disneyland’s 70th anniversary as a tribute to the Sherman brothers. New dolls from the Pixar film “Coco” are also being added to the Mexico scene of the ride.
