A Frankenstein monster stands by a lab set as sparks fly—perfect for your First Visit Epic Universe adventure.

10 Minutes for Monsters Unchained and More Low Wait Times on Epic Universe’s Opening Day

Universal Epic Universe officially opened today and currently (as of 1 p.m.) boasts relatively low wait times across the park.

Epic Universe Opening Day Wait Times

Theme park ride wait times: Stardust Racers 15 min, Astronomica, kid friendly play area, Constellation Carousel 10 min.

According to the Universal Orlando Resort, Celestial Park’s dual-racing roller coaster, Stardust Racers, has only a 15-minute wait. Constellation Carousel has a 10-minute wait. Astronomica is a splash pad, so it has no wait time.

In How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, Fyre Drill and Hiccup’s Wing Gliders both have a 5-minute wait. Dragon Racer’s Rally has a 10-minute wait. Viking Training Camp is a play area with no queue.

Theme park app screen showing wait times for two rides: "Curse of the Werewolf" and "Monsters Unchained.

Curse of the Werewolf in Dark Universe has a 15-minute wait, and Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, usually one of the most in-demand rides, has only a 10-minute wait.

In Super Nintendo World, guests only have to wait 15 minutes for Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, 5 minutes for Yoshi’s Adventure, or 10 minutes for Mine-Cart Madness.

Although the waits are low, not every ride is open. Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry posted a 5-hour wait when the park opened, but the ride quickly shut its queue and is officially “delayed.” We don’t know if or when it will open today. You can watch our Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry queue tour and ride POV below.

Like the splash pad and play area, stage shows and meet and greets do not have posted wait times. The Universal Orlando Resort app lists showtimes for “The Untrainable Dragon” and “Le Cirque Arcanus.” Meet and greet times are not posted.
