Despite Universal previously announcing Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry in Epic Universe would be closed from May 10 through May 16, the ride has unexpectedly reopened a day early with a stand-by queue instead of a virtual line.
Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry Reopens
As of 10 a.m. on Friday, May 16, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry has a 120-minute stand-by wait. Though it previously used a virtual line during previews, there is no virtual line available now. Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry does have a single rider line and child swap.
While the attraction was closed for the past week, guests were still allowed to explore the Ministry of Magic queue.
Epic Universe is currently in technical rehearsals, with the last previews on May 19 before the park officially opens on May 22. Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry was operating at somewhat reduced hours before closing for five days.
The Viking Training Camp in How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk is closed through May 16 “to make final preparations for the Grand Opening.”
