While Animation Courtyard is under construction, the Disney Junior characters that usually meet guests in the area have now moved to new spots by Echo Lake in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Fancy Nancy, Doc McStuffins, and Vampirina are the three main Disney Junior characters that usually meet with guests in Animation Courtyard, near the entrance for “Disney Jr. Play and Dance!

Shortly after announcing that the usual show will be temporarily closing later this month, the Disney Junior meet and greet areas surrounding the building were all blocked by rolling planters and construction tarps. While their usual locations are unavailable, all three Disney Junior characters have moved to new locations on the other side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, close to Echo Lake.

Vampirina

A person in a blue Disney Junior vampire costume with bat wings poses playfully by a waterfront at a theme park.

Vampirina is meeting guests against the metal railing around Echo Lake. She is wearing her web-inspired black dress with a pink shirt. As always, her hair is pulled into its usual bat wing-shaped pigtails.

A hand holds an open "Vampirina" notebook by a lake with a dinosaur statue, palm trees, and Disney Junior magic in the air.

Vampirina’s signature is written in a stylized cursive font with a bat shape above each “i.”

Doc McStuffins

Disney Junior star Doc McStuffins is meeting guests by the entrance doors to the former Indiana Jones gift shop. She is wearing her usual doctor’s jacket, pink skirt, and purple striped shirt. Her pink stethoscope is hanging around her neck.

Her signature includes a quick sketch of a band-aid with a heart in the middle, just like the one on her stethoscope.

Fancy Nancy

A person in a colorful Disney Junior-inspired costume with a crown poses happily in front of lush greenery at a park.

Fancy Nancy is all dressed up in her pink frilly skirt with a yellow shirt and blue bow. She has a red flower wrapped around her right wrist and a tiara with blue flowers in her curly hair. She is meeting guests close to Dinosaur Gertie by the lake.

Fancy Nancy’s signature is a swirly version of her first name with a curl above the “N” and a second swirl at the end of the “y.”

The times and locations for the Disney Junior characters have been added to the My Disney Experience app, which is updated daily. They usually meet guests starting at noon and running at various times throughout the afternoon.

There is no official date for when the Disney Junior meet and greets will return to their usual locations in Animation Courtyard. However, Cast Members working by the meet and greet locations told us that the characters will likely remain by Echo Lake for the remainder of the summer.

In other Disney’s Hollywood Studios entertainment news, a new dance party called  “Get Animated” will be taking over the “Disney Jr. Play and Dance!” theater starting on May 27, which is the same premiere date for both “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure”  and “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After.”
