On Location has received another new coat of paint on the roof of the building in Universal Studios Florida, while a few signs remain at Studio Sweets.
On Location

More work has been completed on the former building of On Location, which closed in early 2025. The building continues to be wrapped in blue construction walls, and rumors persist that the store will become a new sweets shop to replace Studio Sweets.

Since our last construction update, the roof of the building has finished receiving its new coat of paint. No more of On Location’s original bright teal color can be seen, including around the edges of the speakers.

The pipe-like decorations added to the facade have been painted a bright shade of blue that, perhaps unintentionally, matches the color of the construction walls. The rest of the doors and windows are still covered by plywood, but it appears most of the exterior painting is now complete.
Studio Sweets

Meanwhile, Studio Sweets continues to have no sign or awnings since they were removed last week. The store’s purple and teal stickers are still present above the door, but the entrance is still blocked by gray barriers.

While the signage has been mostly removed, some of the window stickers advertising the Studio Sweets dessert offerings can still be seen on the sides of the building.

Studio Sweets closed this February, just after the closure of On Location. With the rumors of On Location carrying sweets and the addition of Universal Studios Store signage around the Studio Sweets entrance, it is possible that this store will begin to carry merchandise and get incorporated into the rest of the Studio Store.
Universal has not shared any more information about the construction at either building or when the stores are expected to reopen.
