A recent update to the Walt Disney World website has confirmed that when The Hall of Presidents reopens, Donald Trump will once again have a speaking role.
Trump in The Hall of Presidents

The Hall of Presidents at Magic Kingdom Park closed on January 20, 2025, following the inauguration of President Trump. This closure is a regular occurrence every time a new president is elected, as The Hall of Presidents show is altered to include an animatronic of the new member. However, the re-election of Donald Trump raised some interesting questions about what his role might be in the reopened attraction.
Interestingly, President Trump is only the second president to be elected for two non-consecutive terms, and the first since the opening of The Hall of Presidents at Walt Disney World. During his first term, an animatronic version of Trump was placed in the center of the stage for a more extended speaking role. The same was done following the election of President Biden, which caused Trump to be shifted toward the back of the stage.
Following Trump’s re-election, many wondered whether Disney would choose to simply reuse the old recording from his previous speaking role or record a new one. There have also been rumors for years that Disney will simply choose to remove the speaking role for the active president altogether, resulting in fewer extended closures and political discourse.

The Walt Disney World website for the attraction has recently been updated with a new description for the show. The updated text reads:
Watch the curtain rise to reveal startlingly realistic Audio-Animatronics replicas of every President of the United States—together for the very first time. Hear a speech delivered by George Washington and a recorded performance of the oath of office by President Donald Trump.
The paragraph now specifically mentions that President Donald Trump will be delivering a recorded performance of the oath of office. This is the first confirmation from Disney that Trump will indeed be moving back to the center of the stage for a more extended speaking role. The text also implies that the rumors of Disney removing the large role for the active president are false.
Of course, this update does not include the specifics of Trump’s speaking role apart from the oath of office. Since the oath was part of Trump’s role during his first term, it is still possible that this will be his old recording rather than a new one made specifically for this second term. Trump’s original run did also include a short speech following the oath, though Disney has not confirmed whether that will be returning as well.
The lobby of The Hall of Presidents reopened earlier this month, even though the actual show remained closed. Guests can enjoy the cool air and observe some refurbished displays with presidential memorabilia. You can watch our full video tour of the lobby below:
