Disney Cruise Line has shared a first look at the new stern characters being installed on the Disney Adventure, Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse.

The photo, shared on the official Instagram accounts for Disney Cruise Line and Disney Cruise Line Singapore, shows the stern character sculpture being lifted toward the stern of the Disney Adventure, where it was installed.

The anchor fixture was carefully lifted into place by the Meyer Wismar shipyard team with cranes before being bolted to the stern. Different Disney characters can be found on the stern of each of the Disney Cruise Line ships across the fleet. The Disney Adventure will mark the first time that the captains are the stern characters.
Concept art of the characters was first released in April 2025. Once installed, it will look as though Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey are painting the ship’s logo in gold while sitting on a decorative anchor. The pair stands over 13 feet tall on the stern.
The Disney Adventure will sail out on its maiden voyage from Singapore on December 15, 2025, and will have its home port there. The ship will include new and returning Disney Cruise Line offerings, like a Captain Jack Sparrow show, the first-ever Duffy and Friends show and store, the Marvel Style Studio, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, and a Disney Princess afternoon tea.
