New Element Installed Above The Seas Gift Shop Entrance in EPCOT

Crews have installed another piece of a possible sign above the SeaBase Gift Shop at The Seas pavilion in EPCOT.

The Seas Refurbishment

Scrim went up on the shop’s exterior overhang earlier this month. The scrim covered a new curved element jutting out of the existing overhang. Another curved element has now been installed, creating a full arch over the doorway.

A tan tarp covers a curved section of a beige building; people stand and walk below under a sunny sky.

The added element remains covered in scrim, but it seems likely it is a new sign for the gift shop or The Seas in general. There was previously no signage placed on this overhang.

Beige fabric cover stretched and slightly wrinkled on top of a stucco wall under bright sunlight.

Parts of the overhang’s edge have been chipped during construction. As we saw previously, paneling was removed for the installation of whatever this archway will be.

For comparison, below is a photo of the same overhang from 2023.

People walk toward a curved, modern building with palm trees and blue sky, likely at a theme park or public attraction.

This work seems to be part of ongoing improvement work at The Seas pavilion. Crews recently completed an interior refurbishment of the SeaBase Aquarium.

Last year, SeaBase Gift Shop received new “Finding Nemo” decorations. In 2023, the 3D mural at the entrance of The Seas With Nemo & Friends was repainted and refurbished, plus it received updated lighting.
