A new activity involving MagicBand+ has debuted at Disneyland Park as part of the many new offerings for the beginning of the 70th anniversary celebrations.
MagicBand+ for Disneyland 70th Celebration
The new activity is described by Disney as:
Set out on a quest to discover special moments with MagicBand+ at 5 locations around Disneyland Park during the 70th Celebration.
At each stop, tap your MagicBand+ to unlock unique interactions and effects inspired by some of the park’s opening-day attractions—to put a little more nostalgia in your celebration.
The list of locations includes:
- Tilly’s Booth at Main Street Cinema
- Frontierland Booth at Silver Spur Supplies (celebrating The Golden Horseshoe, the Mark Twain Riverboat, and the Disneyland Railroad)
- Fantasyland Window by Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (celebrating the Snow White attraction, Mad Tea Party, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Peter Pan’s Flight, and King Arthur Carrousel)
- Skipper Lockers at Jungle Cruise in Adventureland
The Disneyland Website also lists Autopia in Tomorrowland, but notes that this station is not finished yet and will be “coming soon.”
For this activity, guests only need to have a functioning MagicBand+. When guests arrive at the touchpoint locations, tapping a MagicBand+ to one of the “Disneyland 70” readers will cause some special effects and sounds to activate. The guest is also able to receive a special art card or souvenir ticket that is automatically dispensed when the touchpoint is activated. All of the touchpoints are themed to opening day attractions at Disneyland.
One important note is that the text on the ticket can change. For guests with a Magic Key linked to their MagicBand+, the ticket that comes out of each location will be addressed to “Valued Magic Key Holder.” For guests without a Magic Key and just a standard park ticket, the tickets will be addressed to “Our Special 70th Anniversary Guest.”
During the test run, there was no limit on how many souvenir tickets you could get, but it has been limited to one ticket per touchpoint per MagicBand+ per day.
Tilly’s Booth at Main Street Cinema
The first touchpoint is located at Tilly’s Booth at the Main Street Cinema. The booth has a mannequin (Tilly) wearing a Cast Member uniform and name tag sitting inside the glass.
There is only a single MagicBand+ touchpoint at this location. The point is gold with the castle “70” logo in the middle of the wood panel. Tapping a MagicBand+ at this location will cause the speaker in the booth to play some soft music and a special art card to be dispensed.

The card for the Main Street Cinema is designed like an old movie theater ticket. The front has “Celebrating 70 Magical Years of Disneyland” written in ornate black text. The back is printed vertically and has “Main Street Cinema, Admit One.” The ticket also includes a reference to the Sherman Brothers tribute currently being shown inside the cinema building.
MagicBand+ Frontierland Booth
The next location is the Frontierland spot, which has a total of three individual touchpoints for the three attractions or areas represented. These include The Golden Horseshoe, the Mark Twain Riverboat, and the Disneyland Railroad. This location is in the former Disney Vacation Club booth outside of Silver Spur Supplies.
While comprised of three touchpoints, this location is a single prop-filled area with tributes to all three in the same space. Some of the references include a new poster on the left side advertising the souvenir tickets.
The right side of the wall has an old, western-style safe, hanging lanterns, horse bridles, and a conductor’s cap.

The top shelf has several references to the Mark Twain Riverboat, including a guest book and a framed pilot’s certificate.

The card for the Golden Horseshoe is advertising the revue show with the image of a piano player in the middle of a horseshoe. The back has some house rules for the establishment and celebrates “70 years of rootin’ tootin’ fun!”

The ticket for the Disneyland Railroad is white with maroon sketch art showing a steam engine. The back is modeled like another ticket, dated December 5 for a first-class fare. The date may be a reference to Walt Disney’s birthday on December 5, 1901.

The Mark Twain Riverboat ticket is a pale green color with art of the boat on the front and a “70” in the bottom right corner. The back is issued “For transportation around The Rivers of America” and dated July 17, which was the official opening date for Disneyland.
MagicBand+ Fantasyland Window

The location for Fantasyland is within Sleeping Beauty Castle. It is modeled like three pointed windows inside the castle wall, displaying five colored shields behind some protective glass. This spot has a total of five MagicBand+ touchpoints for the Snow White attraction, the Mad Tea Party, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Peter Pan’s Flight, and the King Arthur Carrousel. The shields each represent one of the attractions.
This station was not active during our initial visit.
Skipper Lockers at Jungle Cruise
The final location is a single touchpoint placed near the entrance of the Jungle Cruise attraction. The touchpoint itself is embedded in a locker on the left side. When activated, the sound of a jungle animal is heard from one of the hidden speakers.

The lockers are decorated with paint meant to look like the doodles and comments of various skippers. As a few examples, the image of a rhino reads “Bote Crashers,” and the Narwhal has text saying “Upstream Society.”
More text has been added to the side of the lockers, arguing over which troop is the best. Troop 5571 is likely a reference to the opening years of both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, which respectively opened in 1955 and 1971.

The souvenir ticket at this location is a riverboat tour by the Jungle Navigation Co., LTD. The ticket includes headings to “Schweitzer Falls and the Congo” aboard the Mekong Maiden.
All of these touchpoints are now active, with the additional one in Tomorrowland arriving at an unknown later date. The activity will continue to run through the end of the Disneyland 70th anniversary celebrations in the summer of 2026. The art cards that are dispersed at each point can sometimes run out depending on guest demand.
Additional activities and entertainment available at Disneyland Resort for the 70th anniversary include the Wondrous Journeys fireworks spectacular, a projection show called “Tapestry of Happiness,” the return of the Paint the Night Parade, and the new Key to Disneyland interactive experience with trading pins.
