A new sign has been installed for the Coral Reef Restaurant at EPCOT.
New Coral Reef Sign

The new sign resembles the exterior of The Seas Pavilion Mural with two wave lines and green fish mimicking those on the mural. The Coral Reef Restaurant name is written in white on a blue background framed in a white oval.

The former sign was actually mostly coral-colored in reference to the restaurant’s name. Several shades of blue made up a wave that looked to crash onto the name.

The new design also resembles some of the artwork under the restaurant’s awning, while the old sign is similarly colored to other Coral Reef Restaurant art near the entrance.
New elements are also being added to a potential new sign above the SeaBase Gift Shop. Scrim went up on the shop’s exterior overhang earlier this month before a new curved element jutting out of the existing overhang was added, creating a full arch over the doorway.
This work seems to be part of ongoing improvement work at The Seas pavilion. Crews recently completed an interior refurbishment of the SeaBase Aquarium.
Check out our most recent review of the Coral Reef Restaurant, which was much better than expected, leading us to believe that it is no longer EPCOT’s worst restaurant.
