Guest Falls in Living With the Land Water, Runs Through Sand

A guest runs through water beside the Living With the Land boat ride as people watch from inside a covered tunnel.

A video posted on June 23, 2025, by TikTok user @sunshinesoulco_florida shows the guest climbing out of the water in one of the Living With the Land tunnels leading into a greenhouse. The guest runs along the ledge, through some of the sand in the greenhouse (touching the sand is off limits), and then climbs back into a boat.

@sunshinesoulco_florida said the guest dropped their phone in the water and then fell in while trying to retrieve it. Another user commented that they were in the boat with @sunshinesoulco_florida and asked if the wayward guest was caught because “He booked it off there so quick”. @sunshinesoulco_florida said they saw him go into the restroom after getting off the ride and “were surprised no one was waiting for him once the ride was done.”

Imagine dropping your phone in the water on Living with the Land, falling in the water while retrieving it and running back into yoir boat while the ride is still going on…. Yep, that just happened….

As WDWNT always states, getting off a ride while it is in motion and without permission or assistance from Cast Members is dangerous. Water rides like Living With the Land can be particularly dangerous because of slippery walkways and underwater ride mechanisms. The Living With the Land boats travel on an underwater track that someone could easily get caught on.

Such actions often result in a lifetime ban from Disney Parks. That doesn’t stop guests, though, as we’ve seen them climb out of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure logs, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind vehicles, “it’s a small world” boats, and The Seas With Nemo & Friends shells. Most often, it’s out of impatience about a ride stop or because they have dropped an item.

If you drop an item on a ride, the best option is to tell a Cast Member at the exit. They will be able to safely retrieve the item when the ride is stopped.
