Additional steel columns and horizontal beams have been added behind construction walls as the Avengers Campus expansion project continues in Disney California Adventure.
Avengers Campus Expansion and Construction

Just yesterday, Disney shared a look at some of the ongoing construction to expand Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. In the post, the first steel column for the project was lowered into place as the project “goes vertical.”

Now, several more vertical steel columns and crossbeams have been installed behind the construction walls in Avengers Campus. You can tell just how large the columns are when compared to the construction worker standing atop one of the horizontal beams. A yellow crane stands just to the right of the structure.

The tall crane can now be seen throughout Disney California Adventure and will likely be present along with other construction equipment as the project continues.
The planned expansion of Avengers Campus will nearly double the size of the current land. It will include two new attractions, called Avengers: Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. The area is also rumored to be getting a new bathroom facility. A new structure was put into place near these same construction walls during one of our last progress updates.
We may get more information about the expansion at this year’s Destination D23 event, taking place later this month at Walt Disney World.
