After the tech fiasco last week when reservations were supposed to open for the new Pirates of the Caribbean tavern at Magic Kingdom, The Beak and Barrel, a new date has been announced.
The Beak and Barrel Reservations Opening Date
Reservations will now open on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. ET.
Originally, reservations were due to open for booking on August 14. However, the system had technical issues and was down for a while. Guests encountered error pages both on the Walt Disney World website and the My Disney Experience mobile app. When the system was restored, The Beak and Barrel was still unbookable. Later that day, Disney confirmed that the reservations would be delayed.
The bar’s opening date is Friday, August 29, 2025. It takes over the space formerly occupied by The Pirates League. The bar introduces two original characters: Rummy, inspired by the attraction’s original Barker Bird, and Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn, the bar’s proprietor. The main room is The Mess, and a second room will be the Captain’s Quarters, with miniature bottled ships that come to life and engage in battle.
It will have a 45-minute limit, like Oga’s Cantina at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. See the full menu for The Beak and Barrel before you go.
